Well folks, hope you all had a great weekend. Seems like half the country was gone to Electric Picnic! But we were still here working hard as we do bringing you deliciousness… 🙂
Very popular menu this weekend so here goes.
Goats Cheese with Ginger Crumb, fresh leaves, Pear & House Dressing
Nice mix with the soft delicate flavour of the Goats Cheese and the kick from the Ginger crumb, one of those starters you could probably eat as many as you’d get!
Sesame Chicken Toast, mixed leaves, Sweet Chilli sauce
A variation on the popular Prawn Toast the chicken gives a wonderful texture to the toast and is served well with the sweet chilli sauce.
Linguine Pasta & Beef with a creamy Brandy & Mixed Peppercorn Sauce
Rich, creamy and indulgent, it was a real crowd pleaser this one. The peppercorn part of the sauce did a nice job of cutting through the creaminess to add some complexity to the dish.
Lamb Tikka Masala, Boiled Rice, Naan Bread, Mint & Yoghurt Dressing
I think we can all agree that we’re all suckers for a good Tikka Masala and this was certainly a good one! Generous servings of sauce and dressing made this a very more-ish dish. We reckon this one would give a run for their money to the Tikkas in lots of local Indian restaurants!
Caramel Sponge, Lemon Curd, Coffee Crumb, Cappuccino Ice Cream
I have a soft spot for these “organised mess” desserts as you’ve probably noticed, or maybe we’ll call them “deconstructed” 😉
Sweet sponge, bitter curd with a hint of richness paired beautifully with the slight bitter notes from the coffee crumb and ice-cream.
Thats all for this week folks, time to start thinking about next week!
